Privacy

Seduta has no account and no server that sees your meetings. This page lists every place data goes, so you can check the claim rather than take it.

On your devices

Recordings, transcripts, summaries, meeting details from your calendar (title, participants, notes), the voice prints Seduta learns to recognise people, and your names-and-terms list are files in iCloud Drive › Seduta. iCloud Drive is Apple's service under your Apple Account; it is encrypted by Apple, and end-to-end encrypted when you turn on Advanced Data Protection. Settings sync through iCloud, and an API key you enter is kept in the Keychain and travels with iCloud Keychain.

Transcription and speaker separation run entirely on the device. Audio never leaves it for that.

What leaves the device, and when

WhatTo whomWhen
The transcript of a meetingThe summary endpoint you set in Settings (EUrouter by default, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, or a server of your own)Only when summaries are written by an endpoint. With "This Mac / This iPhone" the transcript stays on the device.
The speech and speaker models (about 500 MB)Hugging Face, where the models are publishedDownloaded once, the first time.
An anonymous device id and call countsDesert Ant Labs, the makers of the Voz speech modelAfter each transcription, by their SDK. Never audio, never text. Their licence counts free devices this way.

Seduta itself sends nothing else: no analytics, no crash reports, no telemetry. Apple may collect crash reports if you allowed that in your device settings.

Recordings and consent

Recording is your call. Seduta reminds you next to every record control to let everyone know they are being recorded, and posts a notification on your Mac when a recording starts. Whether recording a conversation is lawful where you are is your responsibility.

Retention

By default the recording moves to “Recently Deleted” inside the Seduta folder 48 hours after it is transcribed, and is erased 72 hours after that. Both windows are settings; 0 keeps recordings. Transcripts and summaries stay until you delete the meeting.
